In 2011, to celebrate 25 years of the American Silver Eagle, the U.S. Mint issued the 25th Anniversary Silver Eagle Set. This incredible set feature’s five Silver Eagle’s! Three of the coins had been issued by the United States Mint earlier in the year including the Proof and Burnished Silver Eagles from the West Point Mint as well as the bullion version of the Silver Eagle. The other two coins, a Reverse Proof Silver Eagle struck at the Philadelphia Mint and a Burnished Silver Eagle struck at the San Francisco Mint were ONLY available in this 25th Anniversary set. Demand was extremely high for this set when it was released and it sold out from the U.S. Mint in just under 5 hours. In total, ONLY 99,882 sets were produced!!
