Description: Reproduction Ford GT supercar hood for the 2005-2006 Ford GT supercar. Currently back ordered at Ford and most likely about to go obsolete. These are hand laid fiberglass with vinyl ester resin. All the hardware for latch, hinges and back safety catches are made based off oem hardware. Unlike the oem hoods which were made first and then sprayed with a primer after taken out of the mold. These hoods get a poly ester based primer in mold first and then the fiberglass and resin is applied. This eliminates the pin holing oem hoods had. These hoods are also made from the tooling that the first manufacture used in 2004-2005. The hood mold is nickel. It 100% maintains Oem shape for an oem like fit. We are in our 18th year of fiberglass/ composites and take pride our work and are well known in the automotive community.. As most know in the GT world the oem hoods require a ton of work to be paint ready. Typically 35-45 hours. They also have bubbling issues due to the primer not getting into the pin holes. Most all need to be stripped/reprimed so they do not bubble after they are painted and see sunlight or heat. My hood being it is in mold primed first does not have this inherit issue. I can also make this hood with a cosmetic carbon fiber bottom if you would like a cooler look at car shows and such. There is a lead time on these hoods and they are built to order.
