2005 Marzocchi Bomber Marathon XC Suspension Fork 26” 100-120mm Mountain Bike

Description: 2005 Italian-made 26" Marzocchi Marathon XC with a 8.5" long 1-1/8 straight steerer tube and standard 100mm QR dropouts. The Marathon XC is coil with air assist to further adjust the spring rate which is the way dirtbikes have been doing it for years. It also has adjustable rebound damping, 5-position compression damping (TST,) as well as infinitely adjustable 100-120mm travel (TAS) via a knob on the bottom of the left leg, and lastly, it has ETA which allows the fork to be hydraulically locked down for steep climbs. I am the original owner and this has not had much use considering its age as it has always been on a hardtail of some sort that has never been my main bike and now, with 3 kids and all their bikes, I just have too much bike stuff! Weighs 1820g on my scale. I was a bike mechanic for over 20 years and still service alot of mountain bikes, forks, and shocks. I completely went through the fork, changed all the oils, bled the damper and made sure the bladder was still in good shape. Everything works just like it should. The stanctions do not have scratches but the lowers do have plenty of signs of use. The decals are not original, I installed those somewhere around 2015 as the originals were peeling. The lower left knob was lost years ago but I installed a 3d-printed one that works and fits great. It is the travel adjust knob so it is really only used once and left alone. Functionally, this fork is excellent and feels very nice. Includes the special Marzocchi air adapter to charge the air chamber with a shock pump. I will also include a PDF manual for service and user instructions as they are no longer on the Marzocchi site. This would be perfect for a retro-bike build or a great fork for building up an older 26" mountain bike for your little shredder.
