Description: ⭐️ 2001 PCGS “ toned monster” WTC Recovery American Silver Eagle One of only 20 known SO-CALLED Heat damaged monster toned WTC recovery silver eagles This is the first time this type of coin has been listed here on eBay (single coin) that i’m aware of Due to a person named pawn.man that has resorted to target me on his tiktok with his 1.2m followers sending me spam with the same exact question over and over I had to revise this listing with the following……… For those that do not know Ive been a professional numismatist for 38 years & selling WTCs here on eBay for 22 years with many thousands & thousands of happy buyers many have bought from me for over 20 years totaling in the millions of dollars selling high end coins I was the original market maker here for these coins & have sold THOUSANDS of WTC recovery coins without a single problem until now Im revising this listing for people that simply do not know these coins or think that they are over priced For you guys & gals that bought into the bogus claims that pawn.man claimed that I am asking 1000 times for my coin than what its worth then I would be having an ask price of $30,000 based on a common 2001 PCGS WTC with an average value of $300 The guy simply makes up things as he goes along with outrageous claims to basically click bait you to sell one of his products by selling you mis information about another seller or coin Since this has been my platform for the last 22 years & long before that boy knew what certified coins were I was here selling them. Let that sink in Here’s the best way to describe these coins as per the FACTS that have been gathered over the years by many dealers & collectors PCGS & its parent company collector’s universe are the ones that authenticated the majority of the WTC coins in 2002 The cert inside the holder serves as the the coin’s origin & authenticity PCGS does not supply paperwork for these types of coins they never did, its absurd to think this pawn.man would use this as his basis to bait people eBay recognizes PCGS as an authenticator There are 20 known SO CALLED “heat toned monsters” 2001 silver eagles each totally different. You can google & you will see a fair number of other people discussing them that have nothing to do with me The terminology came about early on by collectors & morphed into simply “Heat Toned Monster”. Some people call it damaged Regardless of what they are called theres no other WTC coins out there cooler than these These coins were originally paired with a 1999 $5 Gold Canadian Maple leaf “certified” and became known simply as “heat warped maples” I have one such example of a gold maple in my eBay store. There are gem unc Maples & there are “certified” maples. The certified ones are definitely heat warped the gem unc examples are pristine gem uncirculated There was also ONE bright red 2001 silver eagle that was called “Sunburst” that sold for (about) 100k the true number was never disclosed to the general pubic but it was six figures + There are at least 6 known auctions of these very coins at various auction houses in the US, Canada, & the UK The last auction took place in 2012 where 3 sets of WTC SO-CALLED damaged coins took in just over $56,000 Over the last 22 years Ive had a chance to inspect almost every SO CALLED “damaged” “Heat Toned Monster” coin that came out of the WTC inclusive of the SO CALLED “end roll” damaged examples that pawn.man acknowledges of their existence in the very video as this coin The SO CALLED “end roll” coins fall into the same exact category as these.
