Description: This auction is for an original 27"x41" one sheet movie poster for 2001: A Space Odyssey from 1968 starring Keir Dullea, Gary Lockwood, and directed by Stanley Kubrick. This is the rare Style D, Star Child, version of the film poster. This is from 1971 re-release of this poster, which is exactly the same image as the original 1968 poster. This poster is stamped on the back from National Screen Service R74-294 but it is the 1971 re-release. It was common for National Screen Service to reuse posters when a new re-release would come out. The 1974 version of this poster has the National Screen Service number r74-294 printed in the bottom right corner. This, however, is the 1971 re-release. The poster is in very good condition with some pinholes in the corners and a tiny mended tear in the top center border fold line. This Item is shipped well packaged and includes insurance.
