Description: Up for auction is a 2000 Topps Gallery Heritage Artist's Proof Autograph (28/175) #H9 Edgerrin James. This card is not autographed by the player, but instead the artist, Karl Jaeger, who designed the image. Karl Jaeger is an artist based out of Buffalo, MN. These cards were issued through a promotion ran by Topps in 2000. Collectors would accumulate point cards through opening packs and then would bid on the original art for the cards in the set. Topps provided these artist proof sets to the next 175 highest bidders that did not win the original art. You don't see many of these cards pop up for sale because people do not want to break up the matching serial numbered sets. Please see my other auctions for the rest of the players in this set.
