Description: 2 Original Vintage Framed "Genuine Etchings of the American Scene" Richardson Rome Titles are Morning and Evening, both feature ducks, in the air and on water. Both of the etchings are in excellent condition. There are light stains and wrinkling on one of the mats, the other is discolored a tad at the top. See the pictures of the backs, paper has deteriorated with age. The original leather hangers are missing. One has a hanger, of sorts, the second one does not. Each Etching measures approx. 3" x 3 7/8". Framed, the measurements are 6 5/8" x 8 5/8".see the last picture, there are pencilled numbers on the back of one. Original frames with all information & a short biography of Richardson Rome on the backs From the back of the etching ". . . an illustrator, an art editor and later became associated with Alden Galleries in Kansas City. He entered the graphic arts area at about the same time he fell in love with the Colorado Rockies. It was in his studio in Estes Park that all of his early plates were made. These mountain etchings were so well received that he decided to travel to other parts of our country, etching scenes of each locale" "Mr. Rome's work is represented in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, The Brooklyn Museum and the Rockhill Nelson Gallery of Art, Kansas City.
