We sell by the linear feet. It takes 1.8 linear feet to cover 1 square foot. All dimensions listed are the width and the thickness of the product before milling. For example, an item listed as 2x8 is milled at a standard rate with the finished product having a width showing of 7 1/4 inches wide. Our wood is sold in linear feet and comes in random lengths of 8, 10, 12, 14, and 16 feet. Please call our office to request samples to allow us to ship you all that you need--free of charge to you.
