Description: For sale is a fair condition, hardcover 6-volume set of The Life of a Lover: In a Series of Letters by Sophia Lee. 1st editions published in 1804 by G. & J. Robinson, London. Bindings are holding sound overall. The pages show minor age foxing and toning throughout all 6 volumes. All 6 volumes have an 'Earl of Guilford' bookplate affixed onto the inside front cover. Volume 2 and 3 both have a small tear in the front free endpaper. Volume 4 has ink staining over the title page. Boards show shelf wear with scuffing around the edges and at the corners. The back hardboard of volume 1 is partially detached at the bottom corner (see last photo). The corners of all 6 volumes curl inwards slightly with bumping. Please see photos for condition detail.
