1st American printing Seventy Years 1852-1922 An Autobiography by Lady Gregory!

Description: Here is a wonderful copy of the life history of a most amazing and fascinating woman of the Irish literary movement of the last century. This is Seventy Years 1852-1922 An Autobiography by Lady Gregory. A longtime friend and muse of such writers as William Butler Yeats, George Bernard Shaw and Henry James this woman’s life was full and well-lived. The binding of this copy is square and tight and immaculate throughout. The grey cloth boards are very clean but for some heavier shading to the right side which can be seen in the photos and some discoloration round the bottom edges of the book. I’ve included the reverse of the front board which shows no indication of any sort of moisture whatsoever. The gold gilt lettering of the spine and front panel are quite bright and beautiful as shown. The book contains a section of black and white photographs some of which I’ve included in the listing. The dust jacket shows some wear mostly chipping at the spine ends and wear along the edges and some lighter wear at the corners. The jacket has been price clipped also s shown and the reverse has some tape repairs also as shown. . A previous book seller’s pencil notations are on the first free endpaper. A most wonderful read.
