Antique 19th Century Marked BSM for Bruder Schwalb, Carlsbad Continental Asian Style Handled Teapot Coffee Pot! In very good antique condition with no chips or cracks, has minor age related wear (small scuffs within the painted decor) and factory flaws underglaze, see photos. Measures 10.25" tall to top of finial, 8.5" long including the spout and handle, weighs 1.144 kgs unboxed. Features: entirely hand painted with a pink, purple, black and gray colorway echinacea flower pattern. Has applied figural branch and twine handles and finial. Signed, has a part mark underglaze (BSM for Bruder Schwalb, Carlsbad mark used from 1882 to 1891) also numbered in a manner they used (both the lid and base underside are numbered by hand 135 over 1470).
