I am not a professional card grader but do collect A LOT of cards so I've become half way decent at evaluating cards. I always try to under assess ungraded cards for a couple of reasons. One is that I don't accept returns and want buyers to be happy with what they get. Second is that I've seen what other sellers consider a card condition to be, e.g., NM and I can tell from the picture alone that it's nowhere close to that just based on corner and edge wear. I've compared 100s of ungraded cards under 4x magnification to graded cards. If I think a card is MINT I'm more inclined to list it as NMMT b/c the fact of the matter is I can't tell the difference even w/ a 4x loop especially the finer aspects of grading criteria.
