Description: This is a vintage original skateboard deck, the 1985 Natas Kaupas "Panther" by Santa Monica Airlines manufactured by Santa Cruz. However it appears this was likely a blank deck with no graphics on natural wood, and the bottom was painted black later. There are no top graphics at all, and no sign of "covered up" graphics on the bottom - it is smooth. The decks shape is clearly a Natas Panther from 1985 (not the slightly smaller and "straight edged" earlier pre-Santa Cruz ones, nor the 1986+ ones with more concave and nose). The deck has 2 vintage Rip City Skates store stickers on it, indicating it was bought there originally. While it is impossible to verify the decks exact specs, it has been in this seller's possession since the late 1980s so its vintage status is confirmed. This is priced right to reflect its unclear aspects. As you may know, original Natas decks are nearly impossible to find and are priced stratospherically, so this is a good opportunity for filling a gap in ones collection, or even restoration with vintage graphics.
