As is the nature of most old metal fuel tanks, there is light corrosion on the inside of the tank as can be seen from the inside of the fuel neck. We recommend installing an inline fuel filter with a low micron filtration rating or treating the corrosion and recoating the inside of the tank. With all gas tanks, we recommend cleaning the tank out before installing on your machine as dust and debris may enter the tank during storage, shipping and handling.
