KNIGHT-JOHN STONE Description This is a moderately circulated, veteran but presentable, "Two Dollars" note from the "Commonwealth" of Australia. This one carries the signatures of Harold Murray Knight and John Stone and was issued in 1979. "Standard Catalog of World Paper Money" (Modern Issues 1961-) by Albert Pick. #43c. Face: JVH • 077630 • Black on green, blue and yellow underprint. • John MacArthur at right. He was a British army officer, entrepreneur, politician, architect and pioneer of settlement in Australia. Macarthur is recognized as the pioneer of the wool industry that was to boom in Australia in the early 19th century and become a trademark of the nation. Back: William Farrer.
