This is the 1975, five mark banknote by the State Bank of the DDR currency note. The banknote is purple on multicolor underprint and depicts a Thomas Muntzer at the right of the front with the DDR arms at upper left. The front has no signature but shows the serial number, the prefix, the denomination, as well as the date. The back shows the image of a harvesting scene with combines in a wheat field with the DDR arms to the left and the denomination on the bottom with written denomination in the center and numerical at the corners. This particular note has the serial number 037503 and the prefix UE displayed twice in red on the front. The banknote has a watermark located along the left edge of the front, which displays the bust of Thomas Muntzer. The note also has a solid security thread left of center.
