Description: This auction is for a 1971 New Britain, Connecticut Centennial 1871-1971 Cookbook. This is a community cookbook with submitted recipes, not a mass-produced cookbook, this is only the 3rd I have found in 20 years. I am a lifelong resident of New Britain and the city has always been a melting pot of cultures; this cookbook contains submitted ethnic recipes from 23 nationalities. The submitters name is given at the end of the recipe. It measures 8-1/2” x 5-3/4” x 3/8” thick and has 88 pages with over 200 recipes. This 53-year-old plastic comb type spiral ring book is in spectacular condition, no writing, tearing, highlighting or odors. It has a small VERY LIGHT stain on the upper right of the cover, pages are clean. The plastic comb binding is undamaged.
