The signature has not been authenticated but is consistent with others easily found online, including other examples of his flat signature on the first free endpaper on this same book. This is the First Edition, First Printing (no further editions noted on copyright page), published by Weidenfeld and Nicolson in 1970. Overall in EXCELLENT CONDITION, with the only wear issues associated with the dust jacket. There is a small tear on the top edge of the dust jacket where the front cover folds into the front flap. There is light edge wear otherwise and some light age-toning around the edges of the dust jacket. Boards pristine, no further marks in 322 clean and solidly bound pages.
