This item is absolutely new old stock and was never installed, but it does have some very light scratches on the emblem. As always, please do your own research to make sure that this item will fit your particular application before purchasing. Why no box or retail packaging? Well, we were actually lucky enough to have purchased a small inventory of NOS Firebird, Trans Am and some Camaro parts that were removed from the General Motors Van Nuys California Assembly Plant back when the cars were new. Since GM did not use retail packaged inventory to assemble cars on the line we don't have any packaging to include. We have multiples to sell of some items other items we only have one or maybe two in our inventory to sell.
