Description: This recent find comes from Estate of Retired NASA MSFC Deputy Projects Manager who in 1987 was appointed Manager of the LRB (Liquid Rocket Booster) Task Team and in the 1990s Rockwell Engineer that worked on late Saturn/Apollo through the Shuttle Missions. This listing is for NASA ORIGINAL information, Memorandums, Photo, Presentations and Certificate relating to the Creation of Space Shuttle Main Engine Program with a November 23, 1970 memo establishing an official "Shuttle Engine Steering Group", Orbiter Mark I and II/J-2 Engine and includes an analysis stamped Sensitive. Photo is of TX-346 Initiator Assembly and is on "A KODAK PAPER". Also included are a series of memos establishing the "Shuttle Engine Definition Group" where Mr. Wear was a Co-Chairman and and left that committee to go on to other projects. All items are in Very Good overall condition with some use and age/storage wear including handwritten notes and markings. Performance Award Certificate is signed in blue ink by Eberhard Rees (Director, George C. Marshall Space Flight Center).
