Description: Up for sale, a 1965 Fender Reverb Unit in excellent condition and in perfect working order. This all tube design delivers lush and detailed spring reverb, and with controls for Dwell, Mix, and Tone, it's easy to dial in the perfect amount of splash and sparkle. This classic Fender effect simply goes in-line between your guitar and amp. The circuit is very original and professionally serviced, with the famed blue Ajax capacitors in the preamp and stock Schumacher-made transformers which all date to 1965. The power supply has been recapped with F&T capacitors, and the preamp has new smaller electrolytics as well, sleeved in their original brown Astron wrappers. All of the original Stackpole pots are intact too, with date codes from the 28th week of '65. Tubes include a vintage General Electric 6K6 power tube, with a vintage RCA 12AT7 and modern Tung Sol 12AX7. The Accutronics two-spring tank is an older replacement, matching the specs of the original. The tube chart is also fully intact inside the cabinet. The cabinet retains the original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth. There is only light wear on the faceplate, which retains its original cream barrel knobs, and stock hardware includes the raised Fender logo, handle caps and sphinx glides (feet).
