Description: 1965 Coke Giants Bottle Cap - C2 Chuck Mercein - Yale alum. This is part of the regional 1965 Coke cap promotion. Coke had a huge bottle cap promotion from 1964 to 1966. You would either get a NFL or AFL All Star cap or a cap from the team in your region. The regional caps were harder to come by. This cap is a rare Lift-Top cap - an early, short-lived attempt at a cap that didn't need an opener. The "Lift-Top" lip would fold down the side of the bottle....and you would lift the lip, removing the cap. This cap is from the New York Giants region. The outside of the cap may show some wear - see photo for any blemishes. Truly tough cap to find.
