Description: Note: Please study the images carefully to determine the condition of this vintage photograph, as it may not be in perfect condition. It may contain wrinkles, cracks, and possibly even tears due to its age and how it was handled before it got to us. A scanner may interpret colors and contrast differently than human eyes will, so it is possible that the actual photograph may be slightly darker or lighter in person. This nocturnal galago peeks out of his tin can sleeping quarters at New York's Bronx Zoo yesterday, all ready to get up at 10 a.m. and go about his business, the exact reverse of normal hours for galagos. The small African animal was tricked in an experiment by J.A. Davis, associate curator of mammals, who has been trying to shift hours around for the nocturnal creature. Davis kept the galago in near darkness during daylight hours, then kept lights on all night until the galago was convinced time had reversed.Photo measures 7 x 5.75inches. Photo is dated 02-16-1961.
