Co" logo are readable. If you are familiar with E & S axes and their logos you will recognize this as an E & S axe. This has the date(19)60 stamped on the underside of the head. On the face is '2 1/2' for the weight. In "as found" condition. This has a very colorful handle made by a previous owner who signed his name near the end. Possibly a Native American because of the area it was found in, near Indian Township Maine. Measures 20 3/4" long. The head is 5 11/16" long with a 3 9/16" wide cutting edge.
