1960 BODY ONLY for #4 Ponytail Barbie TM Solid Body, Tan Toned Straight Legs!

Description: Offered is a vintage, original 1960 BODY ONLY for a #4 Ponytail BARBIE. This body is identified by the stamp on the right buttock of Barbie T.M./ Pats.Pend./ C MCMLVIII/ by/ Mattel/ Inc. The left buttock is marked 2 3. The weight of this solid body is 4.77 oz. It retains that wonderful Crayon Smell. The body is clean. All joints are tight and hold a pose well. The leg stance is close and not splayed. It has a small neck knob. The only flaw I see is the tip of the right thumb is missing, although the remnants of polish paint still remain on that thumb. The price of this item has been adjusted based on this small defect. All other fingers and toes are undamaged and the fingernails retain all their polish paint, the toes to a lesser degree. It has the usual mold marks on the hips from the manufacturer. This body has the partially solid tan straight legs and this was the first year to retain tan tone in body, gift sets: Mix 'N' Match, Trousseau, Party Set, and the Barbie & Ken Gift Set. This body will display beautifully. I am a Barbie lover who collected and displayed vintage Barbie for over 25 years. At one time, I regularly sold on Ebay. I'm in the process of downsizing and moving and am liquidating the Barbie items that I have left. These items have been stored in my smoke free, pet free, climate controlled, very organized closet all these years.
