Nicely centered Nice corners Nice focus Nice card. Hearn pitched 13 years in the majors with 3 teams, beginning with St. Louis when he was signed in ‘42. But the Giants in New York picked him up on waivers, and Hearn had some good years, winning an ERA title in 1950 along with 11 victories and 4 losses and a league leading 5 shutouts. Hearn would string a series of winning years with the Giants, and in ‘51, a Giant pennant year, he started and won his one game start in the World Series pitching 8.2 innings giving up 1 run. He relieved in his later years with the Phil’s and was released in 59 by the Phillies.
