Description: This 1958 Red Sox lot includes the Red Sox #2 (Sullivan) and #4 (Sisler) starting pitchers, their starting catcher (White) , first baseman (Gernert) and shortstop (Buddin). Sorry, no Ted Williams. But here's the breakdown on the rest of his teammates that are included in this lot: Bob Smith #445--Good card that's well centered, with sharp corners, no creases, stains or other annoying flaws. Back is good. Bill Renna #473--Corners show some signs of wear and there is some darkness on the bottom border and more on the top right border. No creases, stains or tears. The back has a dark stain in the cartoon. Dick Gernert #38--cards with the yellow backgrounds always show the dirt of the 60+ years that have gone by. There is a light stain on the far left side of the card that runs parallel to th border. Bottom corners rounded, but no creases or paper tears. Back is good. Willard Nixon #395 --Well centered, sharp corners, clear portrait. No creases or stains. Back looks new. Marty Keough #371-- Rookie card. Well centered, good corners, no creases or paper tears. However there is a slight stain in the lower left hand corner. Back is okay. Frank Sullivan #18--Good corners, sharp corners on top, no creases, stains or paper tears. Back looks good. Dave Sisler #59--Very well centered card has minor signs of wear in the corners but otherwise is a good card. No creases, stains, paper tears, etc. back is good. Sammy White #414-- Another well centered card with sharp corners and a nice portrait. No creases, stains, etc. However there is a thin horizontal line that goes through Sammy's cap. Might be a printing flaw or it may be a mark left by a rubber band around the card for many years. Hard to tell. Back is fine. Billy Klaus #89--Pretty good card without any major damage, decent corners, no creases, stains or paper tears. There is a very thin line that goes horizontally through the BILL in his first name. Looks like a it may be a pencil mark. back is good. Murray Wall #410--Very clean card with no stains, tears or major flaws. Not badly centered either. Lower left corner has a small diaginakl crease on the corner. Back looks great. Don Buddin #297--Rookie card. Rounded corners and somebody wrote a big 2 on the right side in pen. Otherwise no creases or stains. back is good. Lou Berberet #383--I have like three more of these cards, This is the best one. While it is well centered and has a bright portrait and good corners, it also has a very small vertical crease in the lower right corner and like Sammy White has a smalll whitish horizontal line that goes from the left border and end sin his cap. Not sure what this is or what caused it. back looks good. Pete Daley #73--Anbother card someone decided to add the number 2 in pen to. There is also a vertical stain along the left side of this card, as well as some vertical white marks by his cap. Corners fairly rounded, back has a small stain of some sort right above the batting record. Kind of just throwing this card in to keep Daley with his teammates as these cards have been together for 60+ years.
