This set is Catalogued as JCM 33 'type A' in the Japanese Baseball Card Catalog. They are called 'Yamakatsu Upper Left Glove' without symbol on back Menko cards. There are 2 different Kawakami cards in set, this is the 'Brown Background' variation. Examples from this set are Scarce overall. Tetsuharu Kawakami 川上哲治is in the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame Kawakami was a player from 1938-1958 He was a professional player for 18 years, winning 5 batting titles, 2 home run crowns, 3 RBI titles and had 6 titles for the most hits in a season.
