Description: 1957 Pontiac Horn Ring: Picked this up at a swap as seen here. This might be ok for a driver but it's on the rough side, it's better than a broken one by a step or two. Lots of light pitting or bubbling on the center, the plastic has a crack, the upper plastic is gone. GM did a curious thing on these - the plastic inserts are held on by bending part of the casting. This cast metal only bends once, so when someone pried the tabs for the top insert, they snapped off and are gone. Personally I'd just superglue or epoxy a new piece in place. None of the mounts appear to have any damage. It is what it is. 523180 is the part number, should fit all 1957 Pontiac with the matching steering wheel. I don't want to hear "it doesn't fit" - it's your responsibility to make sure this part will fit BEFORE you buy it. eBay "guaranteed fit" is a come-on, you're buying this the same as I did at the swap meet.
