Description: This is a vintage original 1955 menu from Schrafft’s Restaurant located at 13 East 42nd Street in New York City. This menu is a four page pamphlet format measuring about 9.5” x 7.25”. The date June 8, 1955 is printed on the lower margin on page 3 and the original owner wrote the same date on the back cover. The front cover indicates this was the Luncheon Menu. This 42nd Street location opened in 1909 as the second Schrafft’s restaurant in New York City. Schrafft restaurants were owned by the Schrafft food and candy company of Boston. The company operated about 25 restaurants by 1927 with most being in New York City and eventually grew to more than 50 locations. This vintage original menu is fully complete and intact.
