Description: A fair copy of this British first edition of The Two Towers, marked as a 1955 second impression. Hinges cracked and with some separation--webbing showing at front hinge. All holding together. Binding a bit warped--spine leans heavily to the right when book lis laid flat. Stain on first endpaper and with ink signature of original owner and dated 1956 (purchased in Paris). A repeated stain in upper corner of pages 15-50 (diminishing as it goes along--please see photos). Also some staining on outside page edges Foldout map is in great shape. No dust jacket. I am listing a first editio 1955 copy of The Return of the King (3rd volume in the trilogy) that was purchased in Paris at the same time as this book & is in similar condition. I am also listing a copy of Fellowship of the RIng, also bought at the same time but in a blue binding & published in the U.S. by Houghton Mifflin. I'd be willing to cut a deal with someone for the three books together, but am listing them separately since they're all different editions. Thanks. I will be out of town between Saturday, June 8 and Wednesday, June 12. I will try to be available to answer questions, but will not have the books with me again until Thursday ,June 13. kevindaleybooks Note: I try to identify any flaws in books as much as possible. Sometimes a photo will catch something that I hadn't noticed when making the listing--so it's good practice to look at the photographs as well as to read the listing. I want buyers to be pleased with what they buy! Thanks for looking
