Description: Description: This fantastic piece which may be one-of-a-kind was discovered as part of a complete run of hockey, football, and baseball card sets from 1912 through 1972 in Quebec. Carefully placed in the last 9-pocket page of the 1952 Bowman baseball card set was this fantastic commercially produced mini book featuring 16 cards, each 2 inches by 2.75 inches in size, depicting the Stanley Cup Finalist 1954-55 Montreal Canadiens hockey team. Each page is a card which is printed back to back with another player card adjacent and everything is neatly stapled in a blank cardboard cover which has some writing on it. Note that this hockey card booklet set was the only one printed for a season which crystalized Quebec pride and led to demonstrations after Maurice Rocket Richard was suspended and missed the entire 1955 Stanley Cup playoffs. This was also the Rookie Year for Jacques Plante. Following this season, the Montreal Canadiens won the next five Stanley Cups and are the only Original Six hockey team to win more 3-in-a-row. Additionally, no other team from any era has ever won five consecutive Stanley Cup Championships.
