1953 Pyro Plastic PYROTOMIC DISINTEGRATOR Ray Gun Original MINT state Space Gun

Description: This is the only COMPLETE, ALL ORIGINAL, MINT/time capsule condition COPPER and SILVER Pyrotomic Disintegrator ever listed for sale on eBay or anywhere else on the entire net. It was flawlessly manufactured and assembled through general production in 1952/3 at Pyro Plastics and has remained exactly as issued, throughout the past 70 years. There's not another one like it available for purchase anywhere in the world, on or off the internet. Based on what I've seen, this is likely the nicest existing example. It was discovered with other toys and Topps Cards dating from 1953 to 1955 in a sealed box, in the full attic of my 146 year old family home in December of 2018. The Pyrotomic Disintegrator is extremely rare and a highly sought vintage space ray gun at the top of most collectors' wish lists. Being very fragile and susceptible to damage, estimates among experts range from 10 to 15 known, with few, if any, purported to be in this extreme pristine condition. It doesn't look like it was ever played with. It was found in an old, large, sealed cardboard box, as shown. Gleaming. With perfect seams in perfect condition. Beautifully manufactured without defects. It has not been repaired, split and re-assembled, restored, fixed, altered with glue, paint, or in any other way. It hasn't even been cleaned. Not even a dusting. The condition you see pictured is the same as the day sealed in the time-capsule-like box about 69 years ago and the same condition as it was on December, 2018, when I unsealed the large box of toys and carefully removed the ray gun from it. The box sat untouched in the same spot in the same attic since at least 1955. The box had a thick layer of dust on its sides and top but the contents were perfectly preserved in the same immaculate shape as the day it was manufactured. The trigger and receiver work perfectly; a gentle trigger pull resulting in the proper, smooth motion of the moving parts and with a resounding click. Everything is tight. Nothing loose, rattling, separating, or cracked, this looks and performs like a new toy. As if it was 1953 and it was just picked as a perfect specimen from the assembly line. According to ray gun enthusiasts, it's the find of a lifetime. THE ray gun toy to own in THE condition. The last publicly offered, complete Pyrotomic Disintegrator in fully working, high grade condition, was a candy red/blue/yellow one. It was auctioned by Hake's in 2015 for $6800. The last publicly offered complete one prior to that was also a candy red/blue/yellow version. It too was auctioned by Hake's, in 2007 for $1850. An incomplete (firing rod broken off) red/blue/yellow separated and sloppily re-glued/glue painted version auctioned on ebay in December, 2020 for $1325. A high grade copper/silver is rumored to have been sold for $10,000 in a private sale, an unspecified "number of years ago". A chew-toy quality, INCOMPLETE (broken) example with the firing rod missing auctioned on 02/01/24 by Morphy Auction House sold for a whopping $3000 with the buyer's premium!!! ***The last two images included show what auctioned for $3000 (ROFL) on 2/01/24. Although I've searched diligently for the past 6 years, I'm unable to find any past or present reference to a Mint copper and silver Pyrotomic ray gun ever being offered publicly, sold on ebay, or on the entire internet. That's how rare this piece is, let alone a TEN on a one to ten scale in condition! According to toyraygun.com, as per his text about this toy on his website page, "The rarest and most beautiful toy ray guns in the world": "This toy is thought by many to be one of the most exceptional plastic ray guns ever produced. Only a few examples are known to exist in any condition". Pictures of the attic are included. This is the location where the large box of toys remained in place and undisturbed since 1955 and discovered in 2018! None of the very few copper and silver ones I've seen high-resolution pictures of look anything like this one. This is likely in unique, by far the best one among the few known complete, original pieces.
