Description: For sale is an absolutely wonderful mid 20th century signed American folk art figural fabric artwork with a watercolor background in a shadow box frame. This piece came from a grouping of four that we acquired that came out of a private New York estate. Said to be from a Upper Hudson Valley area estate. It is signed with the initials AK by an unknown folk art artist. The lovely female figure, who happens to be meticulously rendered in period clothing with fine detail and real sculpted hair is just so amazing. Wearing her Sunday best for sure. She strolls along with her wide brim hat in her left hand while her right arm is full of a clutched basket of flowers. The background with a quaint but charming watercolor with birds flying in the distant landscape. A beautiful folk art work!!! The figure is one of four that we received that were all framed the same. Please see one of our detailed photographs for all four pieces together. They are all dated separately so we do not believe they were a pair. Dated 1953. Framed under glass in a cream colored shadowbox frame of the period. The pieve in overall great condition for age. Some normal toning to the background, watercolor, and normal aging to the clothing. All age appropriate wear as expected. Considered to be in very good condition for age. The frame with age appropriate paint wear as shown in all of our detailed pictures. Otherwise, and very good condition for age. Measurements Framed - 17 3/4" x 14 3/4" Figure - 12" tall approximately
