Description: Many people aren't aware of the fact that, after his stunning, 1948 election upset over Thomas Dewey, it was all downhill from there for Harry Truman in the White House. Not only had the democrats been there since 1933, making for a lot of graft, corruption, federal programs run amok, money lost, scandals and communist infiltration, but a pesky event called the Korean War was thrown at him, causing a stalemate with many U.S. casualties and fatalities. Remember M*A*S*H? Truman decided not to run for re-election because, by the time the 1952 election rolled around, his poll numbers were in the tank. He left office in January of 1953 with lower numbers than even George W. Bush had when he left office in 2009. And Bush had our modern media piling on him over Iraq and financial distress! This is an anti-President Truman, newsprint paper mini-flier, put out specifically in New York State, being 6.25" x 4.75". It is pro-republican presidential candidate, Dwight D. Eisenhower, and points out the economic woes the country was feeling after almost twenty-years of complete democrat party control of things with their deficit spending and high taxation rates. (Doesn't that sound familiar with Biden's new budget?) And, this may have even been printed and released before Harry got beat in the New Hampshire Primary by Estes Kefauver, and then decided he better announce he's not running again, which he did on March 29, 1952. But we're not sure of its release timing because we weren't around then. This is in nice condition but please look at our images to judge that for yourself so that you can be happy with your purchase. S & H on this is $5.50, first class with tracking. We are members of APIC and sell only authentic presidential campaign (and other collectible) material so buy with confidence. We will be happy to combine S&H even though eBay says we don't. We do this by issuing a refund for any overpayment. 6674
