Description: I can personally vouch for the authenticity as I actually grew up seeing it on my grandmother's television as a child in the 1950's until she passed away. This is a true vintage Royal Haeger TV lamp. My grandmother passed away in 1981, and my mother brought this to her house. My first thought was that it was a mule. My mother kept it on her television until she passed away at the age of 97 in 2016. It is a vintage TV lamp from the 1950's with the original fiberglass shade. It has all of the original parts and is totally authentic. It needs cleaning, but I am not an expert on this sort of cleaning, so I do not wish to take the chance of ruining it. It has the same blue lightbulb in it that my grandmother put in it. And it still has the original cord.Condition: The lacing has come undone in a small area, but appears as if it can be repaired. There is one small chip. These issues have been presented in the photographs above. All reasonable offers will be considered. Please feel free to ask questions. I did a lot of research and what I have learned is as follows:*It is said that the name "Royal Haegar" is the name of one of its designers, Royal Hickman, and not because of any affiliation with royalty. Since he was on and off with the company, some of the work he did freelancing for the company may not be signed. He designed pottery, glass, silver, aluminum, furniture, lamps for the Haegar company from 1938 to 1944. He left the company in 1944 and later from the 1950s to 1969, he worked for Haeger Potteries. In the 1940's he also had his own pottery company in Tampa, Florida. for a short period of time he worked for Vernon properties in California. During last years, he designed for Royal Haegar while he lived in Guadlajara, Mexico. And though it is not signed, experts attribute it to Mr. Hickman while he worked for Haegar in the 1940's and was distributed as part of a backlog.
