1950 French 50 Franc Note

Description: 50 Franc banknote issued by Banque De France June 29, 1950. Face of note features a portrait of Urbain Le Verrier, compass in hand. The Paris Observatory is in the background. Back of note features Neptune with two dolphins. Representation of Capricorn and Aquarius in the background. Front of note features signatures of Le Cassier General, Jacques Comier, and Le Seqretaire General, Pol Gargam. The banknote is a circulated note. It is flat but has both horizontal and vertical folds. There is one minor edge tear at the top of the vertical fold line. Note is rectangular in shape and measures 120 mm lomg x 78 mm wide (Approximately 4 5/8 inches long x 3 1/16 inches wide) The bill shown in above photographs is the bill you will receive.
