MANY COLOR ILLUSTRATIONS ---- Red and white hardcovers with original illustrated dust jacket ---- Book measures right at 10 X 6-7/8" 463 pages ---- CONDITION: I consider book to be in very good vintage condition and have itemized condition below for detail minded shoppers / collectors. Jacket has some wear but remains in what I consider acceptable to good condition, as all the wear is typical for a vintage cookbook jacket. A jacket for the first editions are quite rare since in time the jackets get ripped up and are discarded. Very glad I can include it for the next owner. PAGES: Untorn, unmarked, attractive and well attached. Only discoloration I note is 1) some mild, expected age toning, and 2) I looked through the book several times and see no significant discoloration. I found one page with a few small spots (see last ebay photo).... I did the best I could, but may have missed a small spot elsewhere...but noting real obvious. COVERS: Covers are very attractive and clean. I see some expected corner bumps, but not major . The spine ends have some bumps, and I notice a thin short slit at foot of spine, and one a little longer at top of spine. Nothing major. BINDING: All is present and firmly attached. JACKET: Jacket remains in an old jacket protector which was on the book when I received it. This likely protected the jacket through the years , yet you may want to replace it with one which is fresh... the plastic on this protector is stiff and has some wear. I posted lots of photos which will give you a good view of the jacket. You will notice it has wear along the edges (chips and small tears, some short creases ), as well as larger tears at spine ends. Also back side of jacket has numerous small holes (shows on ebay photos) Jacket was price clipped when I received the book. Ebay photos will help you assess and give you a better idea than my words can describe.
