Description: 1949 World Champion Cleveland Indians Official Sketch Book - 64 pages (with numerous black & white photos including a two-page centerfold team photo of the 1948 World Champion Indians) - Very good condition; interior pages are excellent. There is no doubt that a yearbook (or sketch book) is an outstanding source of information for a sports team. This one is outstanding! In addition to the photos, bios and stats for all the players and coaching staff of the 1949 Indians are 1948 World Series stats and highlights, Tribe 20-game winners since 1900, Indians All-Star Game records, all-time Indian league leaders, Indians stats, all-time Indians records and much more. Hall of Famers on the 1949 Indians include Owner Bill Veeck, Bob Feller, Larry Doby (the first black player in the American League), Bob Lemon, Early Wynn and Manager Lou Boudreau. There is a 1/2" crease on both corners of the front cover (see the scan), and a very light 1" vertical crease near the bottom right corner, but this vintage yearbook is still in very good condition. No collection of Cleveland Indians items is complete without this outstanding yearbook.
