Description: This is a rare, vintage 1947 Webster 66-1a tube combo amplifier. This super portable amp was originally intended as an amplifier for Webster-Chicago wire recorders, and designed to have tons of clean headroom - they didn't like distortion back in the day! With a tube compliment of 2 6V6's for power, a 6N7 preamp, and a 5Y3 rectifier, this amp pushes somewhere between 10-15 Watts of clean power through an 8" speaker. It is all original but has been recapped. A favorite for harp players, this ol' amp is sounds phenomenal and is a breeze to use: volume and tone - what else do you need? The amp has 2 MATCHED vintage RCA 6V6 TUBES, a KEN-RAD 6N7, 5Y3GT. Big long original power cord and input cord with no cracking or fraying! THIS IS A CLASSIC VINTAGE PLUG AND PLAY TUBE AMP!!
