Description: Large-format fold-out 1947 Mobilgas map of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and the western United States, printed more than 73 years ago. This map opens to 32" x 24" and has great detail on old highway alignments and route numbers, with cartography by Rand McNally. There's a map of the western United States on one side, including California, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Utah, and Nevada. A closer look at the Pacific Northwest is on the other side, including Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, along with inset plans of Seattle, Portland, Spokane, and Tacoma. The map was published in 1947 by the General Petroleum Corporation of California to promote its Mobilgas and Mobiloil brands. It is dated by the code number in the lower margin: 7-4521-3. Condition: This map is in very good, lightly used condition, bright and clean, with no marks or writing. The paper has softened slightly, and there are tiny breaks just starting on the fold corners.
