This is the 1944, twenty Mark banknote. The note has writing in red on light blue underprint on the front and has a nine-digit serial number 042366158 without F making it pick 195b. The note shows the serial number and denomination on the front and is written in German. This particular has the serial number 042366158 and is Series 1944. The back is brown in color with the letter M repeated three times along the center line. The note is unsigned and has no watermark that we could find. Please carefully review the scans provided as they are part and parcel of our description. Date: 1944. Printer: Unknown. Size: The note measures ~6 3/16" by ~2 5/8". Pick Number: P 195b and is listed in the banknote book as B605 b1. Condition: I would grade this rather nice note as very fine or much better. The note is lightly soiled and has some staining, with an obvious stain in the top left corner of the back. The note is crisp and retains quite a bit of its original stiffness and crispiness. It has a vertical central crease but no tears or splits. It also has light wrinkling and some bumps. The edges are intact showing minimum wear. The corners are intact and squared with minimum rounding. The note has no graffiti and no pinholes. Again, the note retains quite a bit of its original stiffness and crispiness. Its colors are vivid and show no fading. All in all, an extremely nice-looking example of this great historic note, which would make a great addition to your collection.
