Description: This is the 1942 first edition of My Book To Help America by beloved children’s book author Munro Leaf. This book is 32 pages plus the covers measuring about 10” x 8” and published by the Whitman Publishing Company of Racine, Wisconsin. The front cover has a notice indicating this book was prepared at the suggestion of the U.S. Treasury and the back cover has a small advertisement for United States War Savings Bonds and Stamps. This book was issued shortly after the USA entered WWII to illustrated how children could help the war effort. This vintage original book is fully complete with moderate handling wear and some toning from age. There is a light trace of staining showing along the spine edge on front cover show shows slightly on the inside front cover and the staples are a trifle rusted. The centerfold page detached at the staple binding and is laid back in and one page toward the end has a tear of about a half inch on the edge. Overall condition is good.
