Description: 1940s wedding dress in glowing candlelight satin, with long full sleeves, a deeply ruched bodice, and tiered skirt in gorgeous sheer lace panels. Has a V-neck edged in lace, and rich satin ruffles to the skirt tiers. Skirt is lined in satin. Original net veil has a beaded headpiece in a flexible wired headband, with pretty chain stitching to the rectangular veil. Headpiece has meandering curves of beadwork with a crown-like cluster at center top. Both pieces have the original tags, as this set was never worn. It was meant for a Midwestern bride who didn't have a traditional ceremony when she was meant to be wed in 1942... she and her groom eloped instead.
