Description: One piece of vintage 1940s fabric with a bold print. 5 1/3 yards. 45 inches wide. A Cohama handprint fabric in the "Gaiety" pattern. I do think this was a fabric meant for curtains, but I think it could just as easily be made into clothing, pillows, or other craft pieces. I did a water rinse of this fabric in my washer, on the gently setting and then dried it on low and gentle. It came out well, although I do see some discoloration along some of the selvage edges. There is some fray along the selvage edge that I point out in the photo. The fabric seems very stable to me, for its age. It does not want to rip easily. The colors are bright and bold. It is medium weight. It is soft, fluid, and drapes well. It has a surface texture that is similar to a slubbed silk. I did a burn test, and it did not react like silk. I think this is a rayon that mimics silk. This piece of fabric weighs over 4 pounds before packing. It can ship ground or priority mail. Both options are offered. I am always happy to combine shipping
