This is an absolutely fabulous antique watch made by Vacheron & Constantin from the early 1940's during World War 2!!! This piece features a V466 movement with serial number 458676 indicating that this was likely produced in about 1941. It has an 18k solid gold case. In terms of condition, this is a working piece and it keeps time well. With a full wind you will get about 24 hours or timekeeping, so if you are wearing it consistently it will need to be wound daily. I am unsure of the service records for this piece as it did not come with it. The watch case has general signs of wear such as surface wear and light scratches with nothing major. The crystal has some general signs of wear as well including some surface scratches and a small crack between 2 and 3 o'clock. The watch face is a bit faded and vintage looking but that tends to happen with these older pieces, it's what give it its charm! The band for this piece is brand new and was installed recently. The band is a longer band, and should fit anyone's wrist between 6 1/8" to 8 1/4" in circumference. The band is made in Italy and is calfskin.
