Description: Hallmarks date this magnificent Los Castillo ring 1940-45.It's a large, exquisitely hand-wrought ring, with a repoussé deco design and a bezel set oval amethyst cabochon. Can be worn with the stone facing up or down on the finger and it's super comfortable either way.Collector quality.Currently just over a size 8 on a ring sizer, but the beauty of this piece is that it was made to be adjustable. Measures 1" north to south.Weight is 9 grams.Signed and hallmarked "Los Castillo Taxco Sterling Mexico", with the design # 750.I have never come across or seen this design before and do believe it to be quite rare. It has clearly been well cared for over these past eighty years, as it is in excellent vintage condition with no issues.
