Description: 1940s Blessed Mother Mary, Blessed Virgin Mary that was a gift to my Mother from the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception in Putnam, CT. She loved this statue and always kept in her bedroom. She said that they blessed this statue for her, which I believe, but I have nothing to prove that. She is truly lovely. She is approximately 84 years old and has been much prayed before. She is larger and heavier than most statues. She is 16 1/2 inches in height and 7" at the widest point near her outstretched hands. She is chalk ware and weighs, without packaging, about 4 1/2 pounds. She is solid chalkware and is NOT hollow. She has a few missing small areas to her glazed paint coating in a couple of places as seen in the photos to her nose, bottom lip, right thumb and a deeper chip to her cape in the back. The mark of - C.S.113 - is located as shown in the photos, which is the Columbia Statutory Company and located I believe in Italy. Beautiful coloring. She has not been cleaned in any way, which would be up to the buyer. I am an honest Seller. My listings are done private as no one but you, I and ebay need to know what you purchase.
