Description: Interesting pair of industrial safety glasses marked Baush & Lomb. Temples swing forward for storage, then back for wearing. Metal mesh side pieces swing out for further eye protection. Lenses are marked "W6" which is a welding designation. This means the lense is 12.7mm and suitable for gas or plasma arc welding. I do not think these have a prescription in them.Nose bridge and temples marked with "Artcraft 1/10 12K G.F. (gold filled)" followed by an indistinct symbol in a diamond shape. Temples are marked AO (American Optical) 1/10 12K G.F. (so these are probably replacement temples -- I see that commonly in these older frames). Comes with heavy-duty large metal case unidentified for prescribing optometrist. Case reads "AO (American Optical) Wear these goggles ~ Protect Your Eyes". Mike put his name twice on the inside cover. Well is lined in light brown felt. Glasses Dimensions: Temple length (measured screw to outer-most ear bend): 4-3/8" Width (screw to screw): 4.5" Bridge: 0.5” at narrowest, 7/8" at wider bar above nose Lens: 1-5/8" Wide x 1.5" Tall Case Dimensions:6" Long x 2.75” Wide x 2” DeepUnpacked weight: 7 oz.Condition: Both Metal & Lens portions of frames are in excellent used condition. Metal is clean without corrosion, bends, or defects. Temple wraps intact without signs of discoloration or cracking. Nose pads are good -- no cracking or soiling. Lenses free of cracks, chips, flakes, or visible issues. Mesh is free of tears or disfigurations. I see no reason these could not hold a new Rx. Case is in good serviceable condition, without corrosion, dents, or serious defects. Interior of case shows previous labelling on lid "Mike". Case exterior does show scuffs and scratches commiserate with use and age, as well as MF initials. Always happy to pass through discounts on combined shipping. I only charge actual postage, and always use recycled packing materials. Note some photos appear redundant because I take photos from all possible angles. On symmetrical items, these photos may appear redundant when there are no distinguishing differences or condition issues between side views. I gladly accept returns, but please note I do not pay return postage unless there was a significant error in my description. The item listed is being sold as is, as pictured and as described to the best of my knowledge. All dimensions and weights approximate. If you have a question or an assumption on an item prior to purchase, please ask. I much prefer to take the time on the front end to make sure you will be satisfied with your purchase. Remember, when buying vintage expect imperfections as these items have a history and have been in the possession of others. I try to list EVERY flaw which would be commented on something in an antique or vintage condition – this does not mean all imperfections resulting from normal wear & use require comment. My goal is to have no rude surprises upon receipt.
