Description: 1940 Phillips Andover High School Annual with great photographs and text about the students and faculty, activities and sports, humor and candids, and local ads, including young future President Bush and Prescott Bush in photos and mentions. Beautiful condition, wonderful photos and vintage design. George H. W. Bush is the 41st President of the United States from 1989 to 1993 and the 43rd Vice President of the U.S. in the Ronald Reagan administrations. He launched the Gulf War interventions in Iraq and Kuwait, spearheaded the development of the trade policy NAFTA, signed the Americans with Disability Act, and signed the Immigration Act of 1990. Early in his term, he faced the problem of what to do with deficits spawned by the Reagan years which has grown to three times its size since 1980, but had little success doing so. During World War Two he was a naval aviator flying 58 combat missions and being awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Presidential Unit Citation. He is the brother of banker and politician and founder of Union Banking Corporation Prescott Bush, and the father of 43rd President of the United States George W. Bush, as well as Florida Governor Jeb Bush.
